Overview and Description
The Motorola Spirit "M"
Series is a two-watt, one-channel UHF radio with eight built-in frequencies.
This radio may be used inside buildings up to 250,000 square feet, or outdoors
up to five miles in level, unobstructed areas, or up to two miles where
structures are present. The unit weighs eleven ounces, and measures four
and a half, by two and a half, by one and a half inches. The Spirit "M"
has 38 privacy codes, with coded squelch, to eliminate interference. It
screens out other users, so that the operator only hears calls meant for
him or her. The radio has a voice activated transmit (VOX) for hands-free
use when accompanied with select accessories.
The NiCad battery
in the Motorola Spirit "M" Series lasts up to ten hours. It
requires an initial charge of sixteen hours and thereafter only requires
ten hours for a complete recharge. The radio emits a beeping sound when
the battery is low. The manufacturer suggests the battery be replaced
every twelve to eighteen months for optimum performance.
The Motorola Spirit
"M" comes complete with a rechargeable battery, a spring action
belt clip, and a plug-in charger.
