HEALTH PROUD TO RECOGNIZE ITS OWN PETER HOVORKA FOR HONORARY NATA MEMBERSHIP
HANOVER

Hovorka for receiving honorary membership into the National Athletic Trainers
Association (NATA) at this year's annual conference, held June 15-19 in
Baltimore, MD.
Peter
Hovorka has had a long career with Sports Health, starting in 1976. Peter
has worked with athletic trainers across America for years and has been
a true colleague to the Sports Medicine Community. He has served on several
local, state, district and national committees to support athletic trainers
in many endeavors and is a strong contributor to the NATA, as well as
its local chapters including the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association
(IATA).

and extremely honored to be included as an honorary member of the National
Athletic Trainers Association.", Peter says. "I have worked

for more than 25 years. Early in my career, I realized the dedication
and professionalism of the athletic trainer. They are hardworking, respected
individuals that are committed to the well being of their athletes and

they are my friends."

The National Athletic
Trainer's Association (NATA) is a non-profit organization that was created
to augment the quality of health care for athletes and people engaged
in physical activity. It represents over 30,000 members and seeks to advance
the profession in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation
of injuries through education and research. Honorary members are named
on rare occasion and are given this award after being nominated and then
approved by NATA's committee.
The Illinois Athletic
Trainers Association (IATA) is an affiliate of the NATA, serving Illinois's
Certified Athletic Trainers and students. The Illinois Athletic Trainers'
Association (IATA) endeavors to improve the quality of athletic health
care in the State of Illinois through the advancement, promotion, and
improvement of the Athletic Training Profession at all levels, and promote
a better working relationship among those persons interested in Athletic
Training by providing a means for a free exchange of ideas within the
profession.
